looking for hogs? « Thread Started on Dec 25, 2006, 11:42am »
Me and 2 of my friends are trying for the second year now to come down from Indiana for a weekend to try to get some hogs. You might recognize my post a little further down! Sometime between the end of deer season and the beginning of turkey season. Probably the end of February. Last year we went down to Lowndes but had no luck. We walked through swamps and palmettos for three days and saw a total of 2 hogs! I am hoping that anyone might have an area that they need help thinning out their hog population. If you are interested or have any leads that might help us, we'd really appreciate it! We would camp at the nearest campground so as to not be a burden to anyone. If you can help or point me in the right direction, my email address is marty_amy@earthlink.net Thank you, Marty

Go to www.outdooralabama.com here you will find most all you need to get a start........just click on hunting......
there are three WMA's down in Lower Alabama that have hogs runnin around.........on thousands of acres.......all you gotta do is purchase the permits......
most of the land is accessible by boat only...........
there is the upper delta WMA.....W.L. Holland WMA....and the Mobile Tensaw WMA...........
I've seen hogs galore most of the creeks and lakes when I'm bass fishing during the winter........

if you are open to hunting in north Alabama i will show you lots of places in the bank head national forest. i would love to have some help hauling mine out of the creek bottom. they are deep hollows here. you would need to be in good physical shape to hunt here. and you need to hunt them with the weapon that is legal during the time you will be here. let me know if i can help.
